And when you're driving on hilly country roads that can get scary. Another reason why I'm nervous about my child getting her driver's license in a couple of months!

About the manners... I know I'm "middle-aged" and all, but it bothers me a great deal to know that teaching kids manners and common courtesy has fallen completely by the wayside. Why don't parents think this is important anymore? Either way, it doesn't matter in my household. The boy - whoever he may be - will treat my daughter with respect or her will be kicked to the curb.

Thanks for checking in!Linneahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14393402277514669383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503944412894815404.post-70620600645749227112012-02-04T11:00:34.581-06:002012-02-04T11:00:34.581-06:00Linnea...A big AMEN of support to you and your hub...Linnea...A big AMEN of support to you and your hubby.Any boy worth a grain of salt should be taking those items for your daughter and walking her to her door. Asking a parent if it is ok to drive your child anywhere before picking her up should be standard practice. The next thing that scares me about this young generation is the "texters".I see far too many motorists, (young and old )driving while they text / phone. It's a law here in Maryland that many are disregarding. Im not sure how you screen the boy for that bad habit..Your daughter is well aware of that Im sure and wouldn't tolerate a boy doing that. Im also really old fashioned in that I always paid for both of us when I dated. I know it is not exactly how they do it now. Or am I expecting too much?..Hope you mom is doing well...BTW..your Christmas decorations looked like a Hallmark card . I miss having a place that I used to go to when I lived in Bossier .."Ella's pottery".. I bought so many nice wreaths and YULE settings that I can't find anywhere up here..Keep being that model parent that you areRickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387351217839802927noreply@blogger.com
